By car:
This route may seem
a bit of a detour, but is avoids all the traffic through Sheffield and is
the one favoured by the Coaches.
Exit M1 at junction 36 and follow signs to Sheffield North onto the A61. From
here, signs to Sheffield A61 and City Centre A61 lead directly to the ground,
a distance of 6.5 miles, passing The White Horse pub (worth a visit) en route.
At the roundabout by the stadium go straight on to the Owlerton (greyhound)
Stadium parking.
By Rail:
The local authority provides special
buses to take supporters to Hillsborough and to return them to the station.
They pick up from the Pond Street Interchange on Flat Street. To get there,
walk up to the roundabout in front of the station, heading to the right of
The Howard pub into Pond Street. Bus station is on the right hand side.
By Bus:
See above.
Trouble Factor: Very
little trouble in or around the ground these days.

Car Parking:
The Owlerton (greyhound) stadium has match day parking and there is a selction
of School playgrounds and industrial units who charge the usual fees on match
days. Other than that it is on street parking, but be warned, car crime can
be a problem on match days.
Pubs: Close to the ground pubs tend to
be home fans only. However, try: The Horse and Jockey on Wadsley Lane
or The White Horse pub on Halifax Road.
Food: In the ground there is the usual
selection of of food and drink. All of it was of reasonable quality.
Loads of mobile hotdog and burger stands all around the ground for those that
like to gamble with Salmonella and two handy chip shops just outside the ground.
