By car:
From South and East (M1): Keep on M1 to the end of the motorway, junction 47. Keep in lane for Manchester M621, M62 onto the M621. There are two choices from here:
i) To ground: After 0.6 miles, exit M621 at junction 2 (s/p Morley A643, Elland Road). Take 1st exit at roundabout (s/p Morley A643, Elland Road, Beeston). Ground is on the right hand side.
ii) For away parking: After 1.2 miles, exit M621 at junction 1 (s/p Ring Road A6110, Dewsbury A653). At roundabout, turn right (s/p Ring Road A6110, Leeds A62). At first traffic lights turn right (s/p Leeds A62) into Gelderd Road. After 0.5 miles turn right (opposite HSS Hire Shop) into Low Fields Road.
From West and North West: Exit M62 at junction 27 (s/p Leeds M621, Batley A62, Morley A650) onto the M621. Where road divides follow signs to Leeds M621. After 3.0 miles exit M621 at junction 1 (s/p Leeds West A6110, then Elland Road). There are two choices from here:
i) To ground: At roundabout, turn right (s/p Ring Road A6110, Wakefield A650, Dewsbury) onto the Beeston Ring Road. At roundabout after 0.1 miles turn left (s/p Elland Road), under railway bridge and ground is on left hand side after 0.5 miles.
ii) To away parking: At roundabout turn left (s/p Leeds A6110). Then as From South and East.
From North East (A1): Exit A1 at signpost Wetherby, Leeds A58. Follow Leeds A58 signs onto the A58. Go straight on for 7.7 miles, through villages of Bardsey and Scarcroft, to roundabout. Here turn left (s/p Ring Road A6120, The South A1, York A64) onto the Ring Road. At 2nd roundabout, after 1.7 miles, turn right (s/p City Centre A64) onto A64 dual carriageway. Keep on A64, which becomes the A64(M) then the A58(M) for 5.6 miles. Then get in left hand lane (s/p Motorways M621, M62, M1, Halifax A58) taking 1st exit at roundabout onto the A643. Take 1st exit after 0.2 miles, (s/p Halifax A58, Huddersfield A62) into Wortley Lane. Follow Huddersfield A62 signs at next 3 roundabouts into Gelderd Road A62. After 0.4 miles, opposite HSS, turn left into Low Fields Road for away parking. (For ground, continue on A643 instead of turning into Wortley Lane.)
By rail:
From Railway Station (Leeds): It's a 1.5 mile journey from the station to the ground, a walk of approximately 20-25 minutes.Best option is to get the bus (see below).
By bus:
Special football buses, operated by Yorkshire Rider, run from Sovereign Street by the railway station.
Trouble Factor:
Generally Elland road is a safe ground to vist. However, the old tensions bubble to the surface whenever Manchester United arrive in town.
Don't display colours in the city centre.
