By car: From North and West: Go through Blackwall Tunnel, and take 2nd exit (s/p Woolwich Ferry, A206). At roundabout, turn left into the Woolwich Road (s/p Woolwich Ferry A206, Thames Barrier). After 0.8 miles there's an elaborate building on the right hand side (McDonnells pub). Turn right here, at traffic lights, into Charlton Church Lane, and second left into Floyd Road. From East (and alternative route from North): Exit M25 at junction 2. At roundabout turn right (s/p London A2) onto the A2. Exit A2 after 11.6 miles (s/p Woolwich Ferry A206). Follow signs to Woolwich Ferry A206 and Thames Barrier onto the A206. Then as From North and West. From South: Exit M25 at junction 3 (s/p London A20, Maidstone M20). At roundabout, take 2nd exit (s/p London A20) onto the A20. At first roundabout after 9.2 miles, turn right (s/p South Circular Road, Woolwich Ferry) into Westhorne Avenue. Straight over next roundabout after 0.3 miles, and left at junction after 0.4 miles (s/p Central London, A2 Blackwall Tunnel), up sliproad onto the A2. After 2.1 miles exit A2 (s/p Woolwich Ferry A206). Follow signs to Woolwich Ferry A206 and Thames Barrier onto the A206. Then as From North and West.
By rail: Trains run from Charing Cross, London Bridge and Waterloo East. It's two minutes walk to The Valley. Turn right out of station, and almost immediately left into Floyd Road.
By bus: Nos. 177 (Plumstead to Peckham) and 180 (Thamesmead and Woolwich to Greenwich and Peckham) run along Woolwich Road. The no. 53 from Oxford Circus to Plumstead, the no. 54 from Woolwich to West Croydon and The Hoppa Bus (Lewisham to Abbey Wood) run through Charlton Village. From there it's a five minute walk downhill to the ground.

Car Parking: Mostly street parking, and usually not too great a problem. Try streets to the south of the A206 (e.g. Troughton Road) or in the industrial estate to the north of the A206.
Pubs: There's a good selection of pubs along the A206 Woolwich Road and most of them welcome well behaved visiting fans.
Food: The kebab shop at the corner of Floyd Road and Charlton Church lane was absolutely heaving when we visited so we never got to try the food there. There is also a chippy and a café in Charlton Church Lane. A few minutes walk away in Charlton Village you can find a Pizza Hut, chippy, café and Chinese and Indian Restaurants. You won't go hungry…
