By car:
From the west (A59 - Skipton Road):Take the A59 Skipton Road to Harrogate. Continue straight ahead at the round-about next to the Traveller's Rest Pub (on your right) and continue for just over a mile to the next roundabout. Continue straight across at the round-about and up the hill, following signs for York and Wetherby - (A59/A661). Continue for 0.5 miles straight ahead and through the lights outside The Dragon Pub (on your left). Continue along the road for 0.6 miles through three more sets of traffic lights. At the Empress Roundabout, enter the middle lane and continue straight across following signs for North, South and Wetherby After 0.3 miles on Wetherby Road, the ground will be on your left. Turn left before the ground, down Lancaster Street, to use the car parking space provided by the adjacent Hospital.
From the A1 (North and South):The initial part of the following routes differs depending upon the direction of approach, although both use the same directions further on.
From the North: Turn off the A1 at the Wetherby Race Course, signed for York B1224. Turn left at the end of the sliproad, taking the bridge over the A1. After 0.5 miles, turn left at the ESSO Garage, towards Wetherby Town Center (A661). Trun right immediately after the pedestrian crossing lights, taking St James Street for 0.3 miles. At the end of St James Street, turn right. Continue with combined instruction.
From the South: Turn off the A1 at the first junction for Wetherby and take the second round-about exit, signed for A661 Wetherby, Harrogate and Spofforth. Continue for 0.2 miles over the river bridge, and turn immediately left (signed A661 Harrogate). Continue for 0.3 miles, then continue with combined instructions.
Both Routes: Continue along the road for 2.5 miles to Spofforth. In Spofforth, turn right at the mini-roundabout, and continue for 2.8 miles. At the next roundabout, continue straight across, following signs for Harrogate A661 and Skipton A59 and past The Kestrel Pub. After 1 mile, continue through the lights outside the Sainsburys Supermarket and past the Great Yorkshire Show Ground. After 0.4 miles, take the middle lane and continue straight through the lights next to The Woodlands Pub. After the lights, continue for 0.4 miles down Wetherby Road. The ground is on your right, just after the pedestrian crossing. Parking can be found by continuing just past the ground and turning down Lancaster Road, signed Harrogate District Hospital - A&E.;
From Leeds (A61):Following signs for Harrogate continue for 1.3 miles after passing the Spacey Houses Pub, through both sets of traffic lights in Pannal. At the Nidd Vale Saab dealer, turn right onto Hookstone Road. After 0.4 miles you will pass a railway station. Continuing for another mile will bring you through one set of lights close to the railway station, and bring you to the traffic lights on Wetherby Road. Turn left at the lights and continue for 0.4 miles down Wetherby Road. The ground will be on your right just after the pedestrian crossing, with parking just beyond the ground, down Lancaster Road.
